Canmore Highland Games

Every year some of my dance friends and I go compete at this games and it’s always an amazing event. It always runs smoothly and after we finish dancing we get to go see all the amazing vendors and watch the pipes and drums. I would definitely recommend it to any dancer, or anyone looking for an exciting weekend full of Scottish heritage.

Excellent day with lots to see and do. Word of warning though, the Ceilidh is not exactly what I understood a Ceilidh to be (having lived 26 years in the UK) i.e. there is no country dancing. But having overcome the disappointment that there would be no traditional dancing, the band was actually really good and the atmosphere was excellent. Beer is particularly well priced.

I was a Volunteer with Armour on Safety as onsite EMS for the event! It was safe, fun, and the music was amazing. Loved all the food trucks, vendors and strong man games.

For sure will be an annual event for me.

Enjoyed the highland games, the drum and piping bands, and the dancing. But the Ceilidh is a complete rip off. You pay $40.00 per person for some ok entertainment and no more free drink tickets for that price. It is really expensive when you can go to the bar for a better time for a lot cheaper. Also most bars in town will have live highland entertainment for free. Save your money, I wish I had this year.

Loved the bagpipes, watching the games, dogs, and children dancing. The Saturday night sampling was a waste of money and the advertisement for it was misleading. We really wanted to like it, but $30.00 a person to get into a tent to then buy samples of wine, beer and whiskey? The little bit of food that was offered (for purchase, of course) was not good, and that's being kind. So $30.00 gets you in a tent to buy more stuff and listen to recorded music. No thank you.
