We had the BEST time with Paddy on the Via Ferrata climbing experience!! I would highly recommend booking this if you’re looking to see the Rockies from up high - the views were unreal!
Patrick's sport climbing course from CanRock was exactly the outdoor learning experience I was looking for. He was such a fun instructor but was also super knowledgeable and experienced. I think he went above and beyond to make sure we had a quality course and personalized experience. I also would definitely recommend Patrick's course because the small 4 person class size is an ideal environment to ask questions and get lots of practice and repetition so you feel confident on the rock. Thanks Paddy! Will definitely come back for any future mountain courses!
Paddy was an amazing sport climbing guide. He was super flexible, listened to our wants and needs and was very accommodating. Very knowledgeable in what he does. The small course size of 4 was great because we got an opportunity to have a ton of one on one time if we needed it. Thanks Patrick!! Will be coming back for my outdoor guide needs.
I took a lead climbing course with Paddy and it was a great experience. Paddy was extremely knowledgeable, good at communicating and it was clear how much passion and experience he has.
Having a maximum group size of 4 for the course was nice, as Paddy was able to pay more attention to each participant and make sure everyone was understanding the concepts that he was explaining. In the two day course, he taught us all of the skills to confidently be able to lead outdoors, as well as a lot of extra skills that came about just from questions that we asked him. Paddy also did his best to tailor the course to the groups skill levels to ensure that everyone was comfortable with the activities and that everyone was having a good time.
I definitely recommend anyone of any skill level to take a course with Paddy.
We enjoyed our outdoor lead weekend with Paddy so much last year we had to come back for a weekend to learn to multi pitch.
Paddy planned the days to suit our skill level and was very considerate of my scrambling/hiking skills and showed us how to short rope across difficult terrain. He was also able to provide us some basic equipment we did not have.
Overall, Paddy was an excellent guide and a great conversationalist. We also appreciate that he took pictures so we can share with friends and family.
We definitely plan to contact Paddy for our next guided adventure in the Bow Valley area.
