Being a veteran which can come with its own issues, I was also dealing with the stress of running a small business during the pandemic, and coping with my child having brain cancer. I was feeling emotionally constipated, and shutdown. I had trouble feeling my normal ability to connect with others. I thought I'd give Somatic Experiencing a shot, and I am so glad I did. The work I have done with John Meyer, SEP, has helped me in ways that are hard to explain in a few words. I'll just say that John was patient and compassionate and seemed to easily accept where I was, and helped guide me to where I wanted to be. SE is an amazing modality. My ability to connect with others is now not only unimpeded, but a bit on the super charged side of things:) I work with high trauma impact injuries, and I have sent several of my patients to him, with excellent results as well.
