We had my birthday dinner tonight at Paddy’s and it was great! We had the half feast consisting of brisket, ribs and sausage, we had potato salad, coleslaw and fries for our sides. There were 3 of us and we were all full. It was our first time there but it won’t be our last, the bark on the brisket was impressive, the taste was exceptional, the mixture of spices and meat in the sausage was absolutely delicious, I was a little disappointed there was no cornbread, but otherwise everything else was great.
I would highly recommend Paddy’s to anyone looking for a good place for Barbecue.
If you’re looking for good beer and BBQ, you can stop searching and just come here. Actually, no. First go to every single BBQ joint and beer house in Calgary and make this your last stop. I only say that so you’ll know for certain that this is the absolute best. I’ve eaten a ton of BBQ from the southern US to all over Canada and I gotta say…these folks know what they’re doing. The brisket is the best I’ve ever had.
Bar none.
Hands down. The best.
The sauces are all house made and the bbq beans are noteworthy in and of themselves. The ribs are gigantic and the pulled pork is tangy and not overdressed. And if you have folks in your party that aren’t a fan of beer, fear not. They have a root beer tap that is worth the trip alone. I honestly can’t sing this BBQ enough praises. Go to Paddy’s, try everything and thank me later. This is one place you won’t want to miss.
One of the best BBQ joints in town. A bit hard to get too but well worth the effort. The food is melt in your mouth delicious and I would highly recommend every item on the menu, the brisket being the highlight of the affair. Not to mention the incredible beer and homemade drinks. I would highly recommend the beary patch and the juicy IPA for a great night.
We had a platter with various meats, sides and dips. The winner is the brisket, the rub on the rib was quite salty, and the chicken was nice too. I will skip the mac'n cheese next time, but the coleslaw is definitely good. California dip took my heart. I just loved it. Friendly and nice staff. Beers are good too. So overall this is a good place.
We left Calgary this summer but enjoyed Paddy's barbecue on several locations. Those new hours are a good idea with covid still part of our daily lives. At our new home of BC interior the restaurants here pretty much runs 3 or 4 days a week too. I think it works good for the customers...we get to have good restaurants available and it's also good for the owners and staff. A happy medium. Good luck Paddy ...we will come see you when we come visit Calgary this summer.
