Martyn Athies, owner, is the epitome of the kind of man, (or woman) one hopes arrives at your door in response to a call for help. I had called Martyn's company early Saturday morning after a particularly fierce thunderstorm caused water flow into my basement, at the juncture of wall and floor. Martyn came that afternoon, and offered a solution that did not entail jack-hammering part of the floor out; his quote was half of another quote I had gotten, by a company looking at pictures I sent. Martyn came himself on Monday-he explained again, in detail, what he proposed to do, and invited me to watch. Over the course of nearly 8 hours, he explained and demonstrated every step of the procedure. After the first "water test", which seemed successful, he was not satisfied and continued his repair, explaining why it was necessary. He could have left after the first test, but was not convinced he had completely solved the problem. Eventually, after at least 3 water tests, he was satisfied. Martyn is precise, holds himself to high standards, takes pride in his workmanship and was incredibly professional throughout. Cleanup was thorough. The invoice was for exactly the price quoted. He has provided a lifetime warranty, which is transferable to new owners when I sell. When I questioned the lack of reviews, he advised that 75% of his work is for large corporations, for such things as parkade leaks, condo water leaks, etc, so reviews are rarely written. In speaking with his office manager of 18 years, she advised that there has never been a warranty call on failed repairs. I highly recommend Martyn and his company.
