It's been more than 16 years since Jim tutored me in math and physics in grade 11, at a time when my grades were starting to slide. His teaching style extends beyond forced memorization of formulas and cracking the text book - there is a genuine desire for you to grasp the concepts. We continued working together through grade 12, which ultimately led me to a degree in mechanical engineering from Queen's and a career as a professional engineer.

My time with Jim can be considered a long term experiment of his methods, and can honestly say he directly and positively influenced the outcome of my high school & post secondary experience, as well as my career.

Jim tutored me in Math 10, 20, 30 and Calculus, as well as Physics 20, Chemistry 20 and 30. I struggled greatly in each of these subjects, but Jim was able to break down the concepts in to manageable pieces and we were able to work through the courses together. His teaching style is direct and to the point, which I greatly appreciated. I would recommend his services to anyone, especially in Math and Physics, which is where his passion for tutoring truly shines.

Thanks to Jim, my daughter received a 95% final grade in Calculus. The testimonials that are posted on his own website accurately describe his skills as a tutor for many subjects. His style is direct and concepts are explained fully so that a complete comprehension of the material is achieved by the student.
