Selia Bar

We went to Selia for brunch in October, 2022. The server told us they have been open since July 2022. There are a variety of types of tables, including both low and high tables. The premises were clean, and the décor is modern, with a colour palette focused on blue and green and seems to be themed around peacocks.

We were brought glasses of tap water immediately upon being seated. The service was friendly and quick. We were offered a brunch menu and an additional menu featuring smoothies and small take-out snack-type foods. We were there for a sit-down meal and I ordered the salmon eggs benedict and a caffe latte. The portion of coffee seemed small for the price.

For the salmon eggs benedict. (See photo below). The eggs were cooked perfectly. It was not served on an English muffin but instead on a bread bun (sort of like a hamburger bun). The bun was nicely toasted, but I was disappointed it was not served on an English muffin. The hash browns were tiny cubes of potatoes. The plate came with a side of fresh lemon, which went great with the dish.

There are not too many nice restaurants in this area and this place has good food and friendly service. It seems a bit on the pricier side, but I would go back again.

Absolutely amazing meal!

I went with my friend who is celiac and had tried Selia bar prior to our visit. She raved about it so much that I had to give it a try.

It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. First, the location is great. Lots of parking.

We made reservations just in case but it didn’t end up being too busy.

We ordered the steak frites and added the onion aioli. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The garlic bread was delicious, couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. The onion rings and fries were amazing too, especially with the aioli. We also ordered the Caesar salad and added fried chicken. Again, you couldn’t tell it was gluten free. Everything was super flavourful and fresh.

The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and courteous.

Overall, we absolutely loved our experience at Selia bar. I can see why my friend wanted to return. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

We tried the Tuna Crudo and Wagyu Tartare with a Kombucha Shirley Temple. I have to say it was the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Excellent presentation and amazing flavour combinations. Best flatbread I’ve ever had!

100% Gluten Free & 100% awesome! Really enjoyed our dinner here, staff are very friendly and efficient. Fish and chips and onion rings, so good!!

New casual dining restaurant located beside edgemont athletics. Love that its 100% gluten and nut free. Ambience was great, staff were extremely friendly and food was tasty.
