We have been lucky enough to have our son attend Sweet Home Day home for the past 2 years. Carolina’s attention to each individual child while creating a fun learning environment is indescribable.
Each day starts with a nutritious breakfast and then is followed by an educational activity. All meals and snacks are nutritious and often are Colombian inspired exposing kids to different flavours at a young age to help build healthy eaters. Our almost 3 year old can count to at least 10 in both English and Spanish, knows all of his colours in both languages, and knows the letters of the alphabet all because of the work Carolina does with the age appropriate activities each day.
Carolina ensures that the kids get outside for a walk and play every day - weather permitting of course. Our son loves to be outside so finding a day home that places importance on getting outside was very important to us. During the winter months, on very cold days Carolina keeps the kids active with gymnastics, yoga, games and dancing.
Carolina sends photos and videos throughout the day with updates of what your child has done throughout the day. She provides open and clear communication regarding discipline, always coming from a place of love and learning with age appropriate corrections.
My husband and I could not be happier to have Carolina at Sweet Home Day home take care of our son. The Day home has the feeling of a small Day home where our son knows all of his friends, but the structure and educational focus of a school. We would recommend Sweet Home Day Home to anyone looking for a nurturing, kind, and loving environment that Carolina provides.
Amazing place, both my son and daughter attended this dayhome and we were surprised how much they have learned, specially our son who left last year to start Grade 1. His teacher says he is more advanced than many of his friends and we can thank his Teacher Carolina enough for all the time, activities, care and fun times our kids have had with her. 100% recommended.
The warm and loving environment provided by Carolina at Sweet Home DayHome is excellent and provides both my wife and I with a level of comfort knowing our children are safe and in great hands. The nutrition program, the curriculum, the activities, the cleanliness, and the opportunity for our children to learn a second language are wonderful.
There is no turnover with the families/kids at Sweet Home DayHome and that speaks volumes on the quality and care. Our first son spent all 4 years there prior to Kindergarten with the same group of kids and our second son has been there for the last 2.5 years. The educational foundation (in two languages I might add) and development of a caring personality has eased the transition for our oldest son into Kindergarten. Our second born is well on his way to achieving the same level of confidence as our oldest.
Carolina updates you a couple times a day with pictures/videos of what your children have accomplished during the day and it is always a welcome moment when you see that text pop up on your phone. Birthdays and all holidays are celebrated creating palpable excitement for all the kids.
The Sweet Day Home keeps a good schedule with respect to core working hours and will notify you well in advance of schedule changes, vacation plans or changes in the program.
I would recommend this enriching environment of care, education, and love to anyone looking for child care.
Our son has been with Carolina since he was 11 months old. Now he is ready to leave the nest for his next adventure in kindergarten. He is well prepared for this next step because of her care and attention over the years. Carolina and her family treat yours like they are her own. He is the caring, well rounded little man due to her care. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Carolina does not get alot of turnover because you know your doing the best thing having your little one there.
Hygiene, learning, love, nutrition are all amazing!
Carolina goes above and beyond to treat our 3 and 1 year old as if they were her own kids. We are so lucky to have found her to take care of our babies and she has become like family over the past two and a half years. Sweet Home dayhome is really just the best you could ask for!
Because of Carolina, our children will enter elementary school bilingual in Spanish and English. They are developing a strong foundation for language, literacy, and numbers in both languages, comparable to that of a preschool program. We love that our kids have a structured daily schedule with lessons and art projects in the morning balanced with free play in the afternoons.
We just love Carolina and her family so much. We could not ask for a safer, more loving place for our babies to go to everyday. And we are so thankful for the pictures she sends us every few hours throughout the day so that we can see our little ones having so much fun playing and learning with their friends.
