Samaritan's Purse

Wonderful organization that helps the poor, the displaced, and the sick all around the 🌎. Currently they are very involved in assisting the citizens of Ukraine. 90% of every dollar donated goes directly to those in need. Only 10% goes to administration. A feat in this day and age.

I was able to volunteer 3 hours sorting boxes making sure all the shoeboxes had safe items in them if you want to Volunteer phone them they always have lots of shifts.

This is a great organization! I recommend everyone take a few hours in their year to volunteer here and see how these Christmas Child Shoeboxes are packed, inspected and shipped. Or, if time is an issue, to please pack a box(es) and drop off at designated drop off sites or directly at Samaritan's Purse. Or, consider a cash donation. When I was here this week, I had to pause and pray and imagine the children who will receive the boxes I was inspecting. May the amazing and precious love of Jesus fill the hearts and minds of each child.

Joan and myself had so much fun at our 1st volunteer job in 2020 that we decided to do it again in 2021.
Our twosome became a trio when Lydia came along.
It was an awesome night as we hadn't seen Lydia for a while.
Thanks to Katie who brought us along on her team.
God willing, we'll be volunteers at the next Christmas season.
