We needed to replace our deck and decided to go with Busy Beaver because the price was right and the entire team seemed so professional. From Francois, the project manager, who listened to what we wanted, to Steven who removed the old deck to Jeff who built the new one (even while it was snowing!) to the guys who did the cement work, to Christina in the office, we couldn't be happier. Our new deck is a work of art and we will be enjoying it immensely once it stops snowing. Watch out summer, here we come! We would give Busy Beaver “ten out of ten” stars for their recent construction of our back deck. Both owners - Francois and Christina were are a pleasure to deal every step of the way. Francois promptly came by the house to discuss our needs and provided us a quote, while Christina dealt with the scheduling and final design. Once their crew started the project, it was all systems go. The old deck was demolished and disposed of, the new decking arrived, construction began, the new deck was completed, and the final clean-up all occurred in about a week. Every employee we encountered throughout the process was both courteous and efficient. A job very well done and our new deck looks AWESOME! Thank you Busy Beaver.

EXCELLENT and meticulous work done by Busy Beaver to replace my deck. The work was excellent, detailed, and the crew working on my house was fabulous - personable, customer-focused, extremely professional, and paid huge attention to detail. A big thanks to Brady and Noel for the work done, including clean-up which left the area scrupulously clean. Francois and his team basically rebuilt the exterior of our home! We had a front porch added, and they redid the two-level deck in our backyard. We are so please with the work and have been enjoying it already. Everything was completed very quickly, and it looks spectacular. Francois stopped by periodically to check up on how things were going and to make sure we were happy with the results, and his wife Christina was amazing at handling the business end of everything and ensuring there were no hassles with getting the necessary city permits. I would not hesitate to recommend Busy Beaver to anyone.

Busy Beaver Construction is quite simply the best.
Francois and Christina were professional, responsive and kind... despite having a CRAZY busy 2020 schedule and loads of projects.

We wanted to replace our old boring rectangular deck with something more unique and attractive. We came up with a tri-level composite design... each level having a different enclosure. Glass around the BBQ and house-entrance level, cedar privacy wall around the second level, and metal rail around the third. Sweeping corner steps down to the yard to finish.

Francois made our design idea work, and rose to the challenge of our special design on our oddly-sloped yard.

Carpenter Noel did a first-rate job with both the cedar and composite material. It was clear that a lot of care went into the build, and each cut is precise and well-fitted.

Subcontractor Sean and his crew also did a chain-link fence around the back yard, and again did a great job with our strange slope (and long retaining wall on one side.)

Christina handled all the permit challenges with the city, and was informative and knowledgeable.

We simply couldn’t be more pleased. The attention to detail and care that went in to our entire project could not have been better. We’ll be enjoying our deck and yard for many years to come.
