Tracey’s Hair Den

I had been searching for a great stylist in my area and I’m so happy to have found Tracey!! She might be the best and most kind stylist I’ve ever met! I was a bit nervous because I have really long hair and a lot of it, so stylists tend to over texturize it or mess with the layers. But Tracey made me feel at ease right away and knew exactly what to do with my hair, with very little direction. She has so much experience and it really shows! I love my haircut! Thanks Tracey! :)

Absolutely amazing hair stylist and colour care professional! I’m so happy Tracey’s back in Calgary again from Kelowna and I feel so lucky to be her client and write another review for Tracey’s Hair Den!! This is a beautiful, new and elegant hair salon here in Calgary - every salon she’s had is just stunning! I really love the comfort and classy style she has. The salon has beautiful natural lighting and I love how close to home it is (even though I’d travel across the city for her anyways haha).

I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing my hair - I highly recommend!!! I won’t end up going anywhere else and the clients that have followed her for decades know exactly why! It’s crazy how quickly word has spread, “Tracey’s back!!!” Haha!

She really listens to what you want with your hair and takes the time to explain everything she’s doing; really making you feel like a partnership in doing your hair - giving advice and hair health tips - exactly how it should be :) I love that she also cares about healthy hair and longevity, on top of style. She really has a passion for hair and it’s obvious!

Although I don’t experiment a lot , I only do in the safety and advice of Tracey. Over many years I’ve had highlights and finally took the dive in 2009 and went from blond to brunette… back to blond over 2 years, had a decade of balayage, then copper in August and now recently red! It was so scary for me to go red, but Tracey reassured me, educated me and advised me exactly how this would play out, look like, how it would wash, and what it would look like over the years if/when I make a change - lowlights/highlights etc. She made it the safest and funnest experience with my hair so far!! I’m so grateful! (I did it slower because I was a chicken haha but she was so understanding, encouraging and patient). It turned out beautiful and my family and friends love it!! As simple and minimalistic as I can be with long blond hair for so many years, hair has turned into such a fun and playful experience - am I really a part of the cool hair club?! I think so!

I’ve loved the time, effort and patience she has gives me, and beautiful healthy transitions. I’ve experienced such a range of fun styles, cuts and colours now - I really trust her judgement with skin tone, face shape, hair and scalp health etc. I’ve learned they really have an impact on what looks great on you. :) I can just look like anyone in a photo haha.
Fundamentally, Tracey actually cares about hair health and communication is essential to her. Ask questions, tell her what you’re trying to achieve, show pictures - ask her anything and she will enthusiastically share her words of wisdom and help you realize the image of yourself you’re wanting, but making it unique to you and playing up your own natural beauty.

No matter what, I leave feeling absolutely stunning and get so many compliments!!

Elaine and I have been going to Tracy’s Hair Den for many years before she left for an adventure in BC. We are thrilled she has decided to come back home and set up the Den to be close to her family again. Tracy has a very professional and clean studio setup. Elaine loves Tracy’s colour expertise and wonderful style experience. We are very glad not having to fly to BC for haircuts anymore. Welcome Home Tracy. She’s backs. After 10 year of doing the most beautiful colours on my hair Tracy left for Kelowna. 10 years later she’s back and I’m so excited. As usual I’m thrilled with my Color today.

Tracey is a gifted and well experienced hairstylist! I am very happy with how my hair cut, colour, balayage, highlights and lowlights, and style turned out! For all the work she did the cost was very reasonable and fair.

I just moved into the SE neighborhood of McKenzie towne, in sept. I was needing a new hair stylist asap, to touch up my grey roots before my brothers wedding. She was able to fit me in right away.

I was a bit nervous because of not so great experiences I’ve had at other home salons, but she blew away my expectations and did a fabulous job! I love my new hair style and feel more confident and like myself for the first time after many years of seeing other stylist. She nailed the look I was asking for, effortlessly.

Tracey’s hair studio is stunning with lots of natural light and light coloured walls. Her space is very organized, clean and professional. Tracey is such a beautiful woman inside and out! My appointment felt like I was visiting an old friend and breezed by. I’m definitely going back to see her every time for my hair keep up needs!
