(January 17, 2019, 5:16 pm)Terrific facility. Home of the sliding events of the 1988 Olympic Games, and the setting of the Cool Runnings story. Tourist bobsled rides are available to the public, as are discover Bobsled and skeleton sessions, that allow novices to experience the sliding sports. Luge has similar programs. In the summer months when ice is no longer on the track, wheeled bobsleds take tourist riders. A fun experience, usually piloted by very competent, often Olympian pilots.
If not sliding down the track, a trip to the top to see the athletes preparing and starting their runs is a unique and worthwhile experience. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Calgary.
