Cat is awesome! She has tons of knowledge and we’ve learned so much about our dog these past few weeks. You can definitely tell she cares a lot and puts tons of time and work into her job. We really appreciate all she’s done. Thanks again for everything you’ve done for us and for Loki
I can’t recommend Cat enough. The whole experience has been amazing and she’s had such a huge impact in my dog’s life and well being. Barry was diagnosed with double elbow displasia at the age of 1 and half years. He was (and still is) the most loving dog a person could have. He became aggressive/reactive because of his pain pre diagnosis and after surgery. Cat was recommended through a community of dog owners that were able to advise he wasn’t aggressive in nature, but that there were underlying issues. Over the course of our sessions, Barry was able to become more secure in uncontrollable environments and situations. She was able to teach me what to look for that could be unknown triggers or stresses on him. She is extremely knowledgeable and looks at the relationship between a human and their dog and looks for all the factors that can influence their behavior. I’ve learned so much from our sessions about why my guy is the way he is. She is also realistic in what they will be comfortable with in the future (off leash parks, day care, future siblings, etc.)
I am truly grateful for the time Barry and I spent with Cat and look forward to doing group classes in the future. Cat just understands the relationships, the personalities, and the needed training.
Our Husky/Shepard X, Storm, is...for lack of better words...crazy when on a leash. She has always been amazing at daycare and at the dog park but on leash walks were becoming more and more difficult the bigger she got.
We had tried obedience classes in the past, however, because these types of classes were not focused on recognizing and working with specific canine behaviours, these had not helped. Instead, we were just the embarrassed humans with our "crazy and disobedient dog", or so everybody, including us, thought.
I reached out to Cat to discuss Storm's behaviour on a leash; lunging, barking, whining and pulling anytime she saw another dog or a person she was unsure of. Cat recommended the Feisty Fidos Foundation class which we immediately signed up for.
After the first class, we realized that Storm has some fear and anxiety that was actually coming out as over-excitement. These classes helped us recognize Storm's anxieties and stress levels and work with them in an appropriate manner to help alleviate these in given situations.
We were willing to put in the work outside of class and utilize the tools that Cat had given us and we have seen a huge improvement over the last 6 weeks. My neighbour even made a comment today about how well Storm seems to be doing when we pass her outside.
Thanks, Cat!
I used Cat for four private lessons for my border collie puppy. I will definitely consider having more lessons with her in the near future. Cat is very professional, experienced, and clearly passionate about dogs. Her techniques seemed very well thought-out and have been effective and had a positive impact on my dog. His recall and walking manners are much better now. In addition, Cat was able to suggest toys for focusing and exercising my puppy that have been great ideas. I would have no hesitation recommending her. Thanks, Cat!
When we got our rescue dog we quickly realized we were in over our heads. We had Cat come to work with us within the first week. She has a wealth of experience dealing with dogs like ours and has been with us every step of the way since. She always has insight on his body launguage or behavior, or a new technique to try when something doesn’t work. We are much more confident in our interactions with our dog now. I highly recommend Cat, especially for new dog parents.
