Got to give a shout out to the health care professionals at McCaig Tower / Foothills Hospital. Not only did I receive compassionate and respectful care, but observed it throughout the entire 3rd floor unit.
Thank you so much
5 Stars to the anesthesiologist who helped with my surgery, she noticed I was in full panic mode right before my surgery and gave me an iv shot to help calm the extreme anxiety I was going through. Boy, Did it ever calm me down.
That being said I was so happy rolling into that OR that I've got a review of a few things noticed, these were my last thoughts before yall knocked me off my socks and straight to sleep. Yall could use a splash of paint on the walls, yah know like in the dentist office where they got the clouds painted and TV on the ceiling.
While in my elated mood, I also had the thought that you could use some foliage to really spruce the place up. Perhaps if you liven up the OR rooms, patients like me wouldn't feel absolutely fear stricken feeling like I'm rolling into a room straight out of a scene from the Saw movies.
Other than the creepy looking OR, your team took great care of me! Apparently, I had an absolute blast on whatever was given to me to calm me down.
5 stars
It is mandatory to sanitize hands and wear a procedure mask upon entering. Parking is located Underground and no longer free of charge in Lot 10. Wheelchairs can be found in the main foyer hallway or near the admissions desk. Patients and visitors must undergo screening as they enter the hospital. Do not visit if you are feeling unwell. The tower has many services from day surgery to major surgery to cast removal, antibiotic clinic and Diagnostic imaging. There is a helipad on top of it for stars and Halo air ambulance . Smoking is not permitted on any portion of the Foothills Medical Center site.
I would like to give a huge thank you to Dr. Lewkonia and his team for doing my surgery yesterday which was a big success. He is really honest about his work and whatever he promises will come true. He works really precisely with honesty and patience to do his work to the best as he can.Thank you again for being really nice and honest and I will never forget you favor.
Dr. Ian Anderson did my hernia surgery, 20th.aug 2018, what a pleasant chap !!! Makes you feel so safe and good.
After surgery staid in for overnight care and there was a guy, can’t remember name but he was just amazing. He was running around nonstop, always asking do I need something and if needed water or extra blanket it was done right away. Amazing, this guy must really really care and must like his job, other way he couldn’t do it this way.
And no complaints what so ever for others too.
Food is like in hospital, eatable but nothing special.
Two things I must say, bed, it was like sleeping an the railway, mattress was really bad, but I survived.
Other thing is parking. Parked my car and paid, options are by hours or 24 hrs or week. I staid in 27 hrs. So next morning after surgery 6.30 am I walked about mile :) to other end of hospital to add parking time. Not much fun.
Maybe there is better way to do it but no one didn’t know there.
Anyway, I really want to thank people there for fixing me and taking good care after 😊
