Way better than I had expected, this museum is a must, especially if you get a guided tour to explain the highlights and the background.
I highly recommend a visit here, an hour and a half minimum would be good (if you get the guided tour)z it’s a huge place with so many carriages with all different histories, very interesting!
I had the pleasure of experiencing a guided tour led by the wonderful Jen. From the moment one of my friends inquired about a tour, the staff was accommodating and friendly, and Jen proved to be an exceptional guide. Her knowledge and eagerness to share her findings and insights added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.
The museum's collection is simply astounding. With over 270 carriages on display, it offers a comprehensive exploration of the history of transportation. From the humble carriages of farmers to the luxury carriages, each exhibit provides a captivating glimpse into the past. The collection not only highlights the diversity of carriage designs but also educates visitors about the historical context behind them.
One particular highlight of the museum is its restoration workshop. Witnessing the meticulous process of repairing and restoring these magnificent carriages was truly fascinating. The dedication and expertise of the craftsmen involved are evident in the impeccable results they achieve. It was a pleasure to learn about the time and care it takes to preserve these historical treasures for future generations.
I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Remington Carriage Museum!
Soo many carriages, the restoration work on them is amazing! My favourite was the horse-drawn fire engine.
I was very impressed with the amount of carraiges that are in the museum. I have a friend that has always spoke highly of the museum and I was finally able to visit it and I was very happy that I had taken the time to visit it and step back in time.
Nice place to visit with kids. There are no rides until July so plan to visit in July if you want to ride in the carriages.
