The lodge has a fabulous loft bedroom. On the third floor and 6 other beds in 5 bedrooms. We had a full house and had room for everyone to cook and dine together.
I have 2 suggestions. A bench in the room I spread of a chair would provide a place to sit or put suitcases for those who are not so flexible. And, a mirror in every room and perhaps one in the common area would be useful when the lodge is full.
Just returned from an amazing week at the Coliseum Mountain Resort. Kurt and Carla were amazing hosts. The house was big, beautiful, and comfortable for our group of 12. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, staples, and spices. There was an extra refrigerator in the basement along with a large washer and dryer. There is also a hot tub and a fire pit stocked with firewood. The house was supplied with plenty of towels. Beds were all full size and comfortable, with plenty of blankets. Each room had a laundry basket, which was handy. The bathrooms included hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath soap, as well as plenty of towels and washcloths. The area was beautiful and quiet. A small store is on site with snacks and other necessities available. Nordegg was really cute. We saw several wild horses. Also the pie at the Miner Cafe and the ice cream at the Nordegg Canteen were amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend the Coliseum Mountain Resort.
Awesome place, awesome time! The guided tours really free you to ooh and ahhh at the beautiful scenery. The access to trails is great! Coliseum Trail was quite a workout but very much worth the ache! Can’t say enough nice things about Kurt and his crew!
We just spent an awesome week with Kurt and the crew. We highly recommend taking the tours of Jasper and Banff. It cuts down so much time that you’d spend trying to find parking and tickets for the extra excursions! The fly fishing trip was the best and Rob was an excellent guide.
Just a group of 12 Kentuckians rolling up not knowing what to expect of our Canada trip. Little did we know just how much fun and adventure we’d have. Kurt, Gerhard, Barry, Carla and the behind the scenes people couldn’t have been more caring, accommodating, funny, and good sports when it came to this wild KY crew! We all had so much fun hiking, exploring, hot tubbing, fishing, and of course, pie and ice cream eating. Can’t wait to come back for more adventures.
If you’re feeling skeptical about the excursions, take it from us and just do it!! They make the process of getting to the parks and events 10,000x easier and more enjoyable.
Thank you from all of us!!
