It is a great place. The food is tasty and the portions are big. The homemade bread was so yummy. The ice cream also seemed to be homemade and was just incredible. 4 stars only because a waitress confused our drinks and croissant
The Miner’s cafe is such a cute place to stop for a slice of pie or a cup of coffee. Every piece of pie I’ve had there has been phenomenal. The price is a bit on the higher side but it’s like most cafes these days. And it’s worth it for the amazing taste and experience.
Their pies are sooooooo good, we stop in at Nordegg for pie and coffee everytime we are out that way, we go out there 2 or 3 times a year just because it's close to red deer and the scenery is so spectacular. The Miner's Cafe is always our first stop on our way to the mountains and again on our way back home. The ladies that work there always seem so happy and are always pleasant to deal with :)
Awesome place! So we came here twice in the same day. In the morning it's less people but in the afternoon lots. They have a ton of choices for pies, I tried their peach apple pie and my bf tried the strawberry raspberry pie, I think (can't remember)😁. Oh so it's so good. You should stop and try this place when you visit Nordegg or place that is close by.
We spent the May long weekend in the area and visited this spot three times. The ham and cheddar croissant, grilled ham and cheddar sandwich, and egg salad sandwich were favourites. The chicken fajita soup is loaded with veggies, chicken, and beans but overall is underwhelming in flavour. Don’t skip the pie! I’m not a huge pie fan but our group tried tons of flavours. The raspberry cherry, strawberry rhubarb Saskatoon, banana cream, and peach apple were great. The chocolate peanut butter was a massive slice but not as good as the other flavours.
