I came to The Bellevue Mine with a couple of coworkers. We work at the Atlas Coal Mine near Drumheller. As heritage interpreters, we thought we knew all there was to know about coal mining. Boy were we wrong. We learned so much on this tour and how different coal mining was in the Crowsnest Pass compared to the Drumheller Valley. Our tour guide, Cole, was so knowledgeable. He was a confident, fascinating guide and gave us so much useful information that will take back to our jobs. He was patient with the little kids, but also with us and our many questions. We had a blast and I will definitely tell everyone to do this tour. It’s fun, exciting and great for people of all ages. Thanks to Cole and the friendly staff at the Bellevue Mine.
Awesome place to discover Bellevue and it's history. The tour guides were informative and full of energy. Would absolutely recommend going there for a day trip!
The tour guides are knowledgeable locals with ties to the mine. Lots of interesting sites and exhibits. Temperature inside is 1 C and at one point they turn all lights off to demonstrate the darkness, so be prepared for those.
For the who like history or if you have child above 12 years. This place like to visit few people who like coal mines and history.
I also recommend that wear jackets to much cold inside.
Must stop here! Very cool (literally) to go back in time and see how things were done! We had an amazing tour guide thanks Diane!
