One of the best trails in the whole park and not too strenuous,I would say from 4 up to senior years can handle this with many sitting and viewing areas. There is a washroom at trailhead/parkinglot
The lower bits can get muddy after rain ... with lots of mosquitoes ... but a beautiful shaded walk definitely want to walk in the fall.
Still quite muddy/wet and washed out in some areas (Jun 16, 2020). Bring waterproof hiking boots. Otherwise a good 2.7 km trail with some minor elevation. Popular small hike, so you will pass others on the trail here and there.
Cool weather, golden leaves swirling, falling, magical. New, clean washrooms at visitor center. Friendly staff. Excellent!!
A beautiful walk through untouched wilderness near the city. The trail is well-marked and well-maintained. There is a variety of scenery - including marshes, beaver dams, etc. It shouldn't take more than an hour - hiking boots are recommended in wet weather. It's great for snowshoeing in winter too!
