Dank sandwiches! Usually get the trick grick or the vegan one. Vegan sandwiches are super variable. Had some great ones, had some just ok ones. The others are all solid, great bread and delicious toppings.
The coffee is great too and they constantly get new stuff in so you'll rarely have the same beans twice. I find the bags of beans a bit expensive to buy but that's probably because they're often from non-local or international roasters and Farrow has to charge higher as a result. All the same for something novel it's worth a try.
Tried Farrow (different location) many years ago and was impressed. Went to Farrow Ritchie recently and I am still impressed. Split three sandwiches with others. All were so tasty. Pricey but worth it. Appropriate and easy to follow social distancing measures in place. Will return.
So I had heard really great things, but found the place slightly disappointing. The offer very few sandwiches, which I support because if you have a small menu you'll probably do those things well, and got the jackfruit BBQ sandwich. It was sort of pricey and 8 was surprised to find out they were premade. The sandwich juices has soaked into the bread and made the texture really unappealing, but the flavors were there.
I'm uncertain if that's how they always do business or if it had been an adjustment for covid, but I would be willing to give them another chance if that was the case.
Sandwiches are amazing and love that they do a rotating menu, keeps things fresh and new, a different experience every time you visit (unless you visit daily ?).
The feeling of a well run cared for establishment shows up for me as a first impression. I ordered a drip coffee one visit and it was hot as heck the way I like it. The next visit I I ordered a regular sandwich and was happy with the bread and the ingredients which seemed super fresh. Veggies were crisp and tasty. Keep it up Farrow. Try a Cronut for your sweet tooth and get the taste of the day.
