Silvia is a great teacher! She keeps things interesting and motivating for an adult learner like me!

It was a great experience with Mattia Berrini as my violin teacher, he went over all the essentials to learning the instrument very clearly. The song selection was also very good. I especially liked how the songs were challenging to keep me engaged.
I liked how he taught me how to produce a smooth and beautiful sound.

Silvia is the best teacher I've ever had. An exceptional music instructor, as I had never played any instrument before the cello, Silvia helped me learn everything I needed to know to read and play music. She continues to help me improve every lesson. I recommend the Italian Strings Academy to anyone wanting to learn a string instrument.

Silvia is brilliant. As a teacher she is playful, innovative and patient. I have never met anyone with such an appreciation and depth of knowledge of music as Silvia and Mattia. Their commitment to teaching is passionate. They truly care about their students development as musicians and people. Silvia will inspire you to go beyond your fears and overcome your frustrations. It is a privilege to have teachers so dedicated to their craft and their students in Edmonton.

During a very rough patch of my life, Silvia Buttiglione of the Italian Strings Academy had taken me in as her cello student. I never learned how to practice on my own until I met her. She really helped me get back on my feet and pick up music in a more serious approach with vast motivation. Her love for cello music is comparable to the nurturing love from a mother to her children.

After a few years of playing gradually challenging repertoire, I am now entering the music program at the University of Alberta and taking lessons from Rafael Hoekman, the principal cellist of the Edmonton Symphony. All of this is grand, but if it wasn't for the Italian Strings Academy, I certainly would not have achieved this. Thank you so very much Silvia, and the Italian Strings Academy.
