Sobeys - Walker

This place is awesome and it's Huge! You can find everything you're looking for here in one location. They've really taken a big leap ahead of the competition by compartmentalizing major components of grocery shopping. Meat has it's own place, which is separate from Fish/Seafood which is separate from the Bakery area... You get the idea. Since the whole floor plan is open, you can easily spot your first and second steps after entering the front entrance. So why did I only rate this place a 4 and not a 5?? Two reasons - after walking through the front entrance you then have to walk through a security gate which is fine except once your in the gate, you can't go backwards. This can get tricky with toddlers with you to ensure they are by your side. My second issue is that Starbucks is located at the exit, behind the cashiers. I'm sure they thought - do your shopping, grab a java on the way out. But what if I want a beverage immediately? It's 27°C out today, I really wanted an iced beverage after being out in the swealtering heat. I'm sure you could politely walk past the cashiers, grab your bevy of choice and walk back but it's inconvenient. Otherwise, enjoy the shopping experience! ????

Our fave Sobeys to shop at in Edmonton. It is new and well stocked. I can get lots of Gluten free stuff here!! Has become one of our grocery go to places!!!

Amazing customer service!!! Very nice produce selection. The bakery is beautiful. Nice clean store.

One of the nicer Sobeys in the city. Good selection of hot and cold food.

Only suggestion would be to have someone at the meat/seafood section available until close but that seems to be consistent with other Safeway/Sobeys in the city.
