Starbucks

The were 8 minutes from closing and cleaning up but they smiled and took my order. I wasn't rushed and I was told by the manager that I could stay another 15 min while they cleaned up. This is the best Starbucks in Edmonton

I'm torn between giving this a place a 3 or a 4. In fairness this location is consistently very busy as a location and deserves some slack there.

For the most part they are generally well run and very organized.

Cleanliness:
At times this is questionable with the overflowing garbage, messy tables and floors but overall I would not avoid this specific location as I would with some other locations.

Starbucks is what it is (a large well established chain). People love them or avoid them. So why did I rate it five stars. Great service (six counter staff on a Saturday morning) and one of the best views in West Edmonton Mall (overlooking the Ice Palace/skating rink). I tried two of the breakfast egg sandwiches (smoked bacon/cheddar cheese and shaved ham/swiss cheese) on croissant buns, and found them to be delicious (much tastier than the competitors' offerings).

It’s all about image and service because if you think about it’s coffee and pastries that are over priced with a customer reward point system. That being said I have been induced by the big company marketing and like the coffee and pastries a lot. The staff is friendly and courteous. This location is really cool as it is right next to the Ice Palace in West Edmonton Mall. There are cold drinks also with breakfast and lunch sandwich selections. So I will keep coming.
