(October 15, 2018, 3:09 pm)I highly recommend taking curling workshops here when offered. The presenters are very knowledgeable and take the time to educate you on the "why" of their advice. I had a session for two hours and improved by leaps and bounds. I've been coming here for years and will continue to come for many more. Great fun, reasonable price on food and beverage, and a friendly atmosphere!

(January 23, 2018, 6:28 pm)Jasper Place Curling Club has a decent selection of beverages, a great canteen on the main floor, and a comfortable atmosphere in the upstairs lounge. As far as quality of curling, the ice has steadily declined in playability over the years. Inconsistency of ice behaviour between sheets from week to week can make it a frustrating experience for an experienced curler to get effective practice. However, for fun events without any competition (like funspiels), JP is a good venue. Probably most importantly, it is the home of wheelchair curling in Alberta, and the building is built for universal access to all players for all needs, which makes JP a place worth trying.
