FYidoctors - Fort Saskatchewan

I highly recommend FYiDoctors Fort Saskatchewan. I've never been to an eye doctor before, this was my first ever visit and I didn't know what to expect. I choose this location based on positive reviews and word of mouth referrals. The reason for my visit was due to increased migraines, primarily experienced after working on my laptop or phone, reading text, emails, etc. I ignored it for several months, but finally my family doctor recommended that I see an Optometrist, that is what lead me to FYiDoctors in Fort Sask.

I called and was able to book an appointment to see Dr. Sean Skwarok.

Being my first time seeing and Optometrist and getting a full examination. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was dreading the "air puff" test that so many of my friends have hyped up as being like a intense blast of air to the eyes.

Before I saw Dr. Sean, one of the amazing staff (Can't recall their name) ran some preliminary tests. They were very professional, informative and considerate. They explained each procedure as we went through them and were kind and friendly, answering a few questions I had. Also, the air puff test was not bad at all!

I saw Dr. Sean soon after. I wasn't nearly as nervous, but still a tad bit. This remaining nervousness quickly went away a few moments after meeting Dr. Sean. His outgoing, friendly, humorous and very professional approach helped me to relax. He was highly informative, explained things clearly and concise and was very helpful in understanding that my migraines are a result of severe eye strain and a few other conditions.

After my appointment, Dr. Sean brought me out to the front where I was then helped by licensed Optician, Lindsey Fredriksson. Lindsey was able to help me to choose the right frames and answered some additional questions I had. In the end I went with some Ray Bans to fit my big old head.

Overall, a wonderful and positive experience. The staff were all really amazing, professional and friendly. I noticed and was reassured that they were also taking the proper precautions, and had protocols in place to address health concerns around COVID-19.

I would highly recommend FYI Ft. Saskatchewan. Even if you are a little ways away it's well worth the drive. Dr. Sean Swarok is one of the best around and wouldn't go anywhere else. Great prices and even better service.

Timothy did eye exams for both of my children this evening. He was incredible with my kids, so easy to talk to and eased my mind. My kids just loved him.
Definitely going back to see him for all my kids eye care needs.
They got me in last minute when another clinic messed up my appointment and I had travelled from a ways away with two little ones specifically for eye exams. Would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat!
