This camp was a formative part of my life and the experiences I had throughout many summers here have helped me immeasurably in my life and career as a teacher. As a teen-week camper, I had a wonderful time sleeping in a cabin with new friends, learning how to canoe, build a fire, and shoot a bow. Later, as a volunteer counsellor, I learned skills for working with children. It was a fabulous summer job for a few years, which looked great on a resume, especially when it came time to explaining skills I had learned for the management of kids. As an adult, I have been fortunate to spend a lot of time out at Camp Maskepetoon for different weddings and events since the camp is available for rent in the off-season. I have seen the camp grow and I cannot believe how all the new renovations have given the camp a face life while still maintaining the magic of camp. I hope to one day send my own kids to this camp since it has been such a big part of my life.
Camp Maskepetoon is like a second home to me. It is such a beautiful place to visit and enjoy the great outdoors. I highly recommend this location as a place to rent for your wedding or any other event. The camp is well managed and they have completed a lot of updates to the facility over the last couple of years.
I had such a great time! I loved the cabins and the individual quarters, it was such a wonderful atmosphere. The staff made sure to create a special place for all ages.
I have always enjoyed my time at Camp Maskepetoon, it holds a very special place in my heart because the time I spent here as a kid. I am now an adult and I can't wait for the day that I have my own family and send my children to experience this magical place. The facilities are spacious, clean and comfortable and the lake is beautiful. I highly recommend Camp Maskepetoon for all of your outdoor adventures.
My family has been going to camp over the past 16 years. I have attended camp as a camper, volunteered in the kitchen, and assistant counselor; and Worked in a full capacity as a camp Counselor. Though I myself am no longer directly affiliated with camp, I still very fondly remember the amazing memories and experiences camp has blessed me with. I would absolutely recommend attending Camp to anyone, it offers an incredible experience that has changed my life for the better and allowed me to make lifelong friends I've known for over 7 years. Camp Maskepetoon provides an incredibly welcoming experience to anyone regardless of Ethnicity, Gender, or Orientation. Camp has changed my life and given me confidence and a safe harbor during tumultuous periods of my formative years. Camp has also given me lifelong friends who I am still close with to this day, all of them from an incredibly vast background. It doesn't matter where you come from or who you are, Camp's quirky environment will allow you to meet and make friends for the rest of your life!
In conclusion, Camp is a wonderful opportunity for people to make friends and learn more about themselves and become comfortable in their own skin. Camp has completely changed my life and I never would have guessed the amazing opportunities it provided me. I hope I get the opportunity to send my kids to camp one day, so they can also receive the amazing experience I was provided over my formative years.
