Super 8 by Wyndham Spruce Grove

Trains going by about 100 meters/yards away from our window, the A/C barely put out, the hot tub didn't work (told it was due to Covid19) but the pool wasn't heated either and very cold, not quite polar bear swim cold but close enough. Hallways were low and dated but the room itself was nice and so was the front lobby. Staff were the best part of this hotel. Breakfast was alright, more options than most during this Covid19 situation

You can tell they did renovations to the rooms. Comfy beds and updated bathrooms. The only thing is that there were multiple fruit flies living in the bathroom and a beetle came crawling out from beneath my bed. I've worked with food in previous jobs and I know when there is fruit flies there is inconsistent cleaning and a food source for the buggers.

We stayed her for 5 nights and very happy we did. We did not have time to make use of the pool or hot tub but wished we had. They both looked inviting. The restaurant was closed (probably Covid related) which was disappointing as the free breakfasts would probably have been even better. Instead, they offered muffins, granola bars, yogurts, fruit cups, coffee, water, juice, coffee etc. Nothing to write home about, but perfectly acceptable to us. The restaurant rooms looked like a great place for a wedding or big event. The fitness centre was being renovated, but we would not have used it anyways as we would rather swim. The rooms have all been renovated and looked great and were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The car park is a bit rough and needs a resurface The hotel exterior still needs a renovation to make it more attractive. However don't let that put you off staying there. Great value for money and we would stay there again for sure, especially as such a good central location.

Had an awesome stay here! The front desk gals were so helpful and kind. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job. The room was renovated and absolutely beautiful. No complaints! Would stay here again in a heart beat.
