Italian Bakery's Mercato

I usually shop at the original Italian Market in Edmonton but I was in St. Albert so went to this store. The produce section is sad. So small in the back corner with not much to offer. Nothing like the IM on 95st. Which has a glorious produce section.

Love this place, can't believe I haven't been here before! The store has an actual Italian grocer feel with an overwhelming amount of variety! Check out all the espresso options in my photo. Produce was appetizing and very reasonably priced. I was pleased to find BC cherries and peaches without having to wait in a gigantic line at the farmers market.

The store was clean and well staffed. Lines moved quickly for the bakery and cafe, which btw, 2 drinks for under $8?!?

Will be returning. Soon. Often. May never go elsewhere.

Wonderful little gem of a store. The fresh pasta is a nice item to pick up for dinners later in the week. The dessert counter was huge with so many delicious options. A must to pickup a weekend sweet treat.

Love the donuts from here. They have high quality bakery and grocery items. Love getting fresh pasta and cheese from here as well.
