It's a fun park with a couple of playgrounds, including a large swing that can accommodate special needs. It hosts one of the Canada 150 murals painted as individual tiles by hundreds of people. There is a train car, picnic tables, a steel tone drum with attached drumsticks, and a gazebo. The bridge has one side that is too steep, but there are walking paths that are enjoyable.
Visitors need to pick up after their dogs. Can't believe how lazy owners can be. Otherwise it would be beautiful.
There's something for everyone here. The park is great for all the kids. There are picnic tables to have lunch or sit and watch your children. The path around the fountain is a beautiful and peaceful walk, great for a little unwind. And we can't forget the train history here either with the old train carts. We are very lucky to have such beautiful parks in Parkland County!
The city has put a lot of money into the playground here. There a new zip line like feature that is small, but still effective for the kids. The playground itself is pretty nice and safe.
The grounds are maintained pretty well, and the walk around the park is peaceful.
The only real downside to this park is the bridge over the pond. It makes for some really good pictures, but in reality it is difficult to get on and is very dangerous for children. I’m sure with all the funds set aside for this park, they could have addressed the bridge issue as it has been like this for a few years now.
It's a nice place to just sit or take a short walk around the pond. Excellent newly built playground for the kids.
