Nice campground, wish they didn't start charging for firewood though, it used to be better
Perfect getaway. Nice private sites. Thx to Greg for a great weekend.
Convenient location less than 10 minutes from Pigeon Lake Village and Westerose. Park is beautiful, clean and well kept. Well treed private sites and if you go in late June or early July, you'll be surrounded by millions of wild roses, saskatoons and chokecherries. At night you'll hear mooing cows and howling coyotes. Small "lake" with a nice dock good for inflatables, paddleboarding etc. Pond is also stocked with trout but they aren't very big. Nice playground situated in the group campsite. Caretaker Greg is friendly and helpful. The only reason the park doesn't get 5 stars is that firewood is ridiculously expensive - $10 per bag. This would be fine if you were allowed to bring your own wood but the county of Wetaskiwin knows if they allowed that, no one would buy the outrageously expensive bundles. Other than firewood, this place is perfect and I would 100% recommend.
Love this place back here every year only downside is now u have to pay for wood
Affordable and fun! We love camping with just a tent and a fire and this place was beautiful. The man running the place is very Nice and you get some free fire wood every day! Lots of wild life and sounds we haven't heard before so it was a nice adventure. Just make sure to bring cash to pay for your site :)
