The room is clean, and spacious. But more than that, the front desk person was so helpful and accommodating. We had booked a room at the Ramada next door, and it was dirty, musty and the A/C was a million years old with missing knobs and a cut of ground on the plug. I called the Holiday Inn and spoke with the desk regarding my issues and she waited for us to arrive and got us all checked in with price matching!!
What a great place! Newer hotel! Fantastic staff. Everyone working their best to make the stay as enjoyable as it can be with regulations in place.
The room was spacious with 2 queen beds and a sofa couch that allowed for relaxing. The hotel is across from McMann Stadium! Dairy Queen, Joe's Seafood and a BBQ place for eating. I know where to stay for the next Roughrider Stampeder game!
Would recommend it as a stay for everyone!
Everything about the hotel is good. They should really upgrade their internet speed. Even with a cable, it does not go above 4 Mbps.
Began as our “go to” place when a family member spent time in the nearby foothills hospital. Our daughter was also in close proximity, as a university student. The rooms are always clean and I love their assortment of pillows. On the top floors and the right room, you can get a good view of downtown Calgary. The staff are very accommodating and if need be and if possible will let you check in early and on a couple of occasions let us check out an hour or so late. The Continental breakfast that’s included is okay. There’s something for everyone. There is a hot tub that hubby enjoys and as we always request, we receive a room far from the elevators and noise. The hotel is across the road from McMahon Stadium, across the alley, a convenience store, liquor store, a couple or three restaurants and a C Train station is right across the street-very handy. The manager of this particular hotel Sheri, is someone I haven’t met but has helped us out in a couple of occasions. Holiday Inn on Banff Trail is pretty but nothing fancy so if you’re looking for some sanity in an insane world, this place is perfect.
