Gray Family Eau Claire YMCA

New to the area, we were pleasantly surprised with this YMCA location. The counter staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the pool and change rooms were super clean and in great condition despite our reading reviews they were dated (we expected that to mean run down/dirty) . It was busy but didnt feel crowded or chaotic and pool staff and other patrons were kind to my teen while she lane swam. We are happy to have access to such a nice facility so close to home.

This is a great place to work out. Many choices for all types of fitness related interests and levels. Super friendly and helpful staff. Monthly fees are very reasonable. Wish I had joined years ago!

An excellent central location, right next to the Eau Claire Park in downtown Calgary. The proximity to the park makes it easier for joggers to find paths that are green and somewhat protected from vehicular noise and traffic. The Eau Claire YMCA building is a well designed modern brick structure that is easily identifiable.

Very friendly and helpful staff set up the courts for us. There is a large lane pool and good sized pool that has various depths depending on time of day. Made Foods Cafeteria outside is open during the day. There is a well equipped fitness centre on top floor. Squash and racquetball courts available and 2 gyms for basketball and other sports. Change rooms are located on 2nd floor. Women’s change room is very big with playpens for leaving babies in and brightly lit section for blow drying hair and doing makeup. There are also private change rooms in each corner for those who prefer more privacy. Wish there were more shower stalls though. They used to offer lock rentals but not anymore so bring your own as there is a sign that does not allow gym bags in the gyms.
