Gillz Grill - Best Indian Take Away Food, Healthy Restaurant Cal

Seems like an extremely overrated restaurant. Staff leaves the mail dining area unattended for long and one has to knock on the kitchen door multiple times to get some attention. Ordered multiple items today for a take out and here's my experience. Prices are very reasonable and the choice of white onions with tandoori items was spot on. Tandoori chicken was average. Was very disappointed with cream chicken tikka and chicken tikka masala was a very hot inspite of a request for low spice level for my daughter. Overall, not an experience I'd want to have.

Great food for what it is. Primarily an unassuming take out joint with seating for eat in as well. It was spotless and somehow didn’t smell of food. Don’t let that fool you, the dishes were all robust and full of flavour. Sometimes Indian food can all taste very similar even in a good restaurant which can become a bit tiresome; but here every dish has a unique flavour. We found the server was friendly and happy to accommodate, the food was great and they offered some dishes not found elsewhere (they the golgappa”). Anyway we would gladly recommend Gillz Grill and will be back. Thanks guys.

Without a doubt the best Indian food in Calgary; authentic in every way possible! The staff are very nice and the general atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. It is evident the cooks take pride in every dish they create, and your taste buds will be in heaven. We went there with a group and they have a wide variety of foods. Every single table in the room had a reserved sign (no jokes). Don't hesitate and try out Gillz Grill, you won't regret it! Cheers!
