The Den

The Den is a good option for the traditional bar experience. During the summer their patio is great since its above ground. The service is good and the food never disappoints (they always have the best desserts too, keep in mind the menu goes through some rotations so check online before hand). I will say I'm not a huge fan of their ceasars, I find them to be a little bit tasteless. But other than, the Den is one of my favorite places to go on campus! One important note: the den is not open on weekends.

This is a great bar with really good food. A staple of the University of Calgary. The service here is just wonderful. I'm not a student, but my favorite place to have lunch when working there. One time a co worker had troubles with her meal, no big deal, but the staff comped her meal, plus gave her a $20 gift card. Not necessary, but very caring. In the summer they open up the Black Lounge and the patio is kicking. They also change their menu up, so not to make it boring. Burgers are great and pizza too!! No fear, the other menu items are yummy too. They also offer gluten free meals. I highly recommend this place.

This a very nice place to relax after a long day studying; beer can be cheap on happy hours, and food is not bad.
