The CattleBaron

The Cattle Baron is a modern, chic, steakhouse with a great atmosphere. The lounge has nice high tops and a really nice bar area. There are a few TVs in the lounge for those who want to catch a game.

The dinning room is spacious and well laid out for small tables or big groups.

We had the New York peppercorn and the filet. They came with steamed vegetables and choice of potato. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and the meal was amazing!

The service was excellent and our server was attentive. The timing between the apps and the mains was great; not rushed and not too long.

The overall restaurant decor is very nice and immaculately clean. The Cattle Baron rivals some of the higher end steakhouses we have been to but at an excellent price point. I highly recommend the Cattle Baron and plan on going back.

By far the best Medium Well NY Strip Loin 12 oz steak ???? I have ever had in Calgary. Also the appetizers was very delicious ???? Especially The Salt & Pepper Wings and Calamari were OMG so yummy, tasty and well seasoned. Everything came to our table nice and fresh.

The service is 100% Top Notch. The restaurant manager him self came to our table to say hello and asked us if we needed anything.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is classy, clean and everyone that works there is very welcoming and make feel you’re right at home.

I definitely recommend Cattle Baron if you’re looking for a good steak ???? and a good time!

I had been looking forward to dining at the Cattle Baron since it was first under construction and I wasn't disappointed! The staff were all very friendly, the food fantastic and the ambience of the restaurant cozy and warm.

Our server, Paul, was easily one of the finest wait staff I've had in many years and the food was fresh, cooked extremely well and very tasty. We sampled items from the appetizer, main and dessert menus and were delighted with everything we were served.

The food is on the pricey side, but the quality of the experience made it a very worthwhile and enjoyable visit for both my wife and me. I'm looking forward to our next visit!

To be honest, having not eaten at Cattle Baron in many years (because the past visit was very underwhelming), I was very pleasantly surprised with our recent visit to the new location in Royal Oak. We had the prime rib, which came very quickly and was hot, tender and delicious. They have done a great job modernizing the decor from the 70's steak house feel at the other locations. Service was excellent, prompt and friendly. I was really, really glad we decided to try it out! It's not an everyday option as it is a bit pricey, but worth it for a great night out! Will definitely be back!

Went with my Dad for dinner. Wednesday night. We sat in the lounge so we could watch the hockey game. The look and feel of the place is really nice. More modern-looking than their NE location but really welcoming and comfortable.

Wait staff was attentive - courteous and explained the difference in their steaks. Was happy to hear the Cattle Baron is serving all Alberta Beef which isn't the case for all of their competitors. I like to support local so I felt it was worth mentioning.

Meal was great. Steaks cooked perfectly (we had the rib steak sandwich) wedge salad was really good. Prices were fair in my opinion and staff was friendly. I'd definitely go back.
