Carino "Japanese Italian Kitchen"

This is one of our favourite spots to eat. The creative dishes are really tasty. They have some interesting wine and beer and of course, sake! The service is top notch. Try their set menu, you will not be disappointed!

You have to try the tuna tartar if you go here! It seriously is the best in the city. Carino is one of the most unique fusion restaurants in Calgary — would definitely go back again and again.

Awesome little spot in Mission! Definitely recommend a visit. It's a very delicious blend of Italian and Japanese cuisine and they have nailed it!! Every dish we tried, we loved! The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's a very quaint little restaurant with a wonderful Atmosphere.

You must eat here. The flavours at this restaurant are incredible but make sure you make a reservation as it is very small and always busy. Very reasonably priced given the excellent quality of food.

Excellent anniversary dinner. The arancini were light and delicious unlike many leaden offerings I’ve had. The risotto with scallops is a work of art - rich, deeply flavourful, with balanced flavours, and perfectly zingy arugula. The pasta was also very well seasoned. The dessert trio was very grown up - complex, adult flavours, and not overly sweet. The chef has an excellent palate.
