Lakeview Community Preschool

I feel so privileged to have my girls go to this preschool. The teachers are incredibly kind and engaging. On top of enjoying everyday at preschool my daughter left with all the skills she needed for kindergarten from number and letter recognition, spelling her name, to knowing our phone number and address for safety, to classroom expectations and so much more. I highly recommend this preschool to everyone.

I can't recommend the Lakeview Community Preschool enough! The awesome teachers use a play-based approach with several "centres" in the classroom encouraging hands-on learning, like arts and crafts, sand and water tables, carpentry, reading, music, housekeeping, play dough, dress up and more.

Each teacher creates monthly themes and classroom activities are based on these themes. There is also story time, gym and outdoor time, and lots of special guests in the classroom, including a fireman, a dental hygienist, the reptile guy and others. I also love that parents and other caregivers have the opportunity to volunteer in the classroom on a rotational basis.

The Lakeview Community Preschool is teaching our daughter the basics of how to be a student, and I know all of the work she's done and fun she's had at the Lakeview Community Preschool will prepare her for Kindergarten.

Highly recommend - a play based preschool where which provides a great foundation for kindergarten / grade school. The teachers provide a warm, caring environment with lots of focus on experiences (art, reading, yoga, song, field trips, etc.) as well as a focus on letters (writing name, numbers, learning to take turns, etc.). Our son thrived here and has met lots of friends. It’s volunteer assisted meaning you’re expected to volunteer in the classroom but it’s on a 2 months rotation (approx) and I liked getting a look into how the preschool works and how our kid does with others in it.
