The Last Straw Ale House

We were on a tight time line and worried about how long our visit was going to be when we initially got there because it was busy. We did not have to worry. Best service and food I've had in Calgary in far too long. Vanessa was quick, friendly and attentive without hovering. Food was fast, fresh and sufficiently portioned. They put actual avocado on my sandwich not a suspicious green smear like most places do. Other meal was a salad that was robust with ingredients not just lettuce. Atmosphere was lively without being obnoxious and quite comfortable.

Great food, friendly staff, lots of beer. Pub is clean, well maintained and lots of TVs for sports. What's not to love?

Definitely better than your average pub food. The gnocchi salad was absolutely delicious. Friendly service, and nice patio seating

Staff was friendly and drinks were quick. The appetizers are quite good and the place was quite quiet. It was busy when we first came in at around 8-9 and 30 minutes in it cleared out and got quiet. Overall a good place.
