I drive a lot (150km commute daily), so our vehicles need frequent routine service, and occasionally an unexpected mechanical failure to be taken care of. This has regularly become the first place I call. We have been here for major repairs to minor tire patches, they are always accommodating, courteous, honest and efficient. Even when they are busy (which is a great sign for any business) they always make an effort to acknowledge you and gauge the urgency of your situation. I have no problems recommending Gem Auto to friends and family, and it certainly isn't a surprise how quickly this business has grown. We are fortunate to have them in Didsbury but worth the drive in from elsewhere.

We made an appointment for 10:30a.m. but decided we'd like to hit the road earlier. Matt was very accommodating and took us in early at 9:00a.m. He was very friendly and professional. He advised us of a loose heat shield. He didn't pressure us at all but just wanted to make us aware of it. We gladly asked him to tighten it up. Their shop is very clean as well as the bathroom. Matt was very quick and efficient. I would highly recommend GEM Auto to anyone. Very honest and fair mechanic's which in today's age is hard to come by! I came out one day to my car having a flat tire and called a few tire shops in town. This is the one that was able to get the tire patched up before they closed. I took the tire off the car and brought it in about an hour before closing after phoning them. They got right on the job and were able to complete it even though it took them until just after closing.
