(August 8, 2018, 2:51 pm)Nice being by the river. However more bathrooms would be nice. Wood of almost unburnable quality was expensive. This location is close to Calgary, so its probably convenient. Overall it was what camping would be on a river bottom.Lots of gravel. Very little grass. Quiet hours are respected. There was security on site. We would return.
(August 7, 2018, 4:31 pm)I'm giving this a 3* as it works for camping but until they do some maintenance to this site I won't be back. The site was impacted by the flood and hasn't been fully reclaimed yet. Prices here were higher than other sites that were nicer.
They say they have "full hookups" however the hookup posts aren't at each site and you see people having to run cables through neighbors sites for their water and power (no sewer). Also their power requires you to run an adaptor as they don't have full power hookups for trailer plugs (that means no high power consumption and no running A/C if you're in a full trailer with that. To top it all off they charge $10 to use their sewer dump when you're leaving. Sites for trailers looked small and neighbors were almost right on top of each other. I saw some with green spaces, however others looked like people were having to camp on top of river bed rocks which didn't look fun at all,.
I saw no showers in sight. Bathrooms were a mobile trailer and were not particularly clean. They claim there is a "beach" however it was just a riverbed of rocks and didn't look particularly like a "beach" for kids to me.
(July 28, 2018, 8:31 pm)First year as seasonal campers at Nature’s Hideaway and our entire family loves it here! The staff are amazing. It’s a rustic campground; lots of trees and bushes, the sizes of the sites vary, it’s not perfectly manicured and for us - that’s okay! There is a river that we fish, raft and swim in, even a small sandy beach for the kids to play in. There is also a park that tends to offer hours of entertainment :). If you ever forget a necessity or two the general store more than likely can help you out. They also offer washrooms, showers, laundry machines and a free library filled with books. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
(July 13, 2018, 1:16 am)Water was a little high and fast for tubing with kids. Staff was awesome, site choice was good as there wasn't much happening Sunday night. As it's been said reclamation from the flood is coming really good and the 30$ tenting stalls for the "real campers" is a little confusing as there is not much to show separation. The river view is stunning as well.
