French 50 Bakery

Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. They set the bar for quality and taste. All bread at grocery stores are now flavorless and French 50 has forever ruin my palate. It's not necessarily a bad thing though.
Also the boys being the coffee bar make a mean espresso or latte.
Definitely try one of everything, you won't be disappointed. My favorite is a latte and one of their tartines for breakfast. Ask for a side of paté it is unreal!

This family run business is our favourite spot for baked goods in Okotoks! The cruffins are INCREDIBLE! And of course, the sourdough is always perfect.

Fantastic spot and concept. If you live french pastries and breads and simple tartines, then make it a destination.

I went in expecting quality product and that is exactly what I got. And then some. My son and I stopped by and the first thing we noticed was a very good vibe. All the tables were full of customers enjoying the food and each other’s company. So far so good. But at the end of the day it’s the product that drives all this. We ended up getting some buns, white and whole wheat sourdough, raspberry scones and cruffins. That’s what was left when we were there at about noon. A decent selection considering it was an hour before closing. Oh, almost forgot to mention, I wouldn’t call myself a ‘bread expert’ but I did work as a baker for a year and I do truly appreciate good quality baked goods (and can recognize lower quality product when I taste it). We shared one bun in the car along with a scone. Very tasty. When we got home we tried the sourdough. Both were very good but the white was absolutely outstanding. Perfect crust. Perfect texture. Just the right balance of flavour. Tried it plain, then with cream cheese, then with Nutella - outstanding each time. I highly recommend this place.

Hands down the best bakery in Okotoks... possibly even southern Alberta. Fantastic service from a family run business. The baking is absolutely incredible and the family who runs it are equally as lovely. Thanks again for the cinnamon buns today!
