The Peppered Elk

This restaurant is a pure gem hiding in Ponoka’s golf course. Beautifully renovated with all the Covid protection measures, they even have bar codes on the tables for paperless menus! Staff is super friendly and provides lot of attention during the meal to ensure you’re enjoying your dining experience. I had the Crusted Salmon and the maple miso glaze with its mix of spice was simply delicious. I honestly enjoyed the creamed wild rice more than the salmon itself! The presentation was spotless and the mix of flavours was simply divine. For dessert, the crème brûlée duo was the perfect addition for my end of meal sugar indulgence. If you are looking to eat real food in Ponoka, this is the place to go. The menu has so many choices and all reasonably priced too. I haven’t sit in a restaurant for more than a year because of the pandemic and I really enjoyed my dining experience at The Peppered Elk! It was an awesome treat!

I can't say enough good things about the food here. The Bacon wrapped tenderloin was literally the best I have ever had! Melt in my mouth, with such good flavor! I had the beer cheese dip, it was a large serving, and very delicious!
For dessert i got the creme brulee duo, they were amazing! Silky smooth
I will be coming back again and again. The food is extremely affordable for the quality of food you are getting, (I actually think they should raise prices) it's that cheap. Everyone loved their food, and presentation was beautiful.

Had a fantastic meal at The Peppered Elk! French Dip was 10/10 and we also loved the Cuban Cigars appetizer. Looking forward to returning in the summer months to enjoy the large patio!
