“I stayed at the Heartwood Inn with a group of 4 friends for a weekend away and had a great time! Zeke and Patrice went out of their way to be kind and hospitable. They were full of recommendations and updates of things going on in town, and the location was great for walking to downtown or heading out to the Museum or to Rosebud for dinner theatre. Our room was very clean and stayed cool through the 30+ degree weekend. I usually stay in hotels during my travels, but found this experience at a locally-owned inn very charming and would return again!”

“We stayed at the hotel in July, 2023. The hotel was clean with pleasant decor. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast had a great assortment and the dining room was sizeable. The views were fabulous. We had a Queen bed and a pull-out couch. The bed was comfy, the pull-out couch was not. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and I will stay again if I’m ever in Drumheller for another visit.”

“You're getting what you're paying for here folks. Rooms are actually quite clean, basic dated furniture and decor, not the comfiest beds but were still fine enough for the night. Basic amenities, good location, fair price, free wifi (don't expect much on the TV) and overall excellent service from the owner/manager. Will be staying again next time we come through.”

“Camping during the weekend is packed! The campground is relatively clean and frequently maintained. The tenting sites are reasonably sized but there’s a little lack of privacy in between sites. There aren’t that many bugs flying around which was good. This campground is also pet-friendly, all dogs were well- behaved! There is a main location for washrooms (flush) and showers that have cold and hot water. The office has a little store if you’re missing anything. The campground is also located a couple minutes away from Drumheller so it’s not a big issue if you ever forget to bring something.”

“The only time I've been inclined to write a review (even though its very late haha) My sister and I camped here in May for our birthday. A nice balance of cool and hot weather. There was maybe 3 other people camping so the owner let us switch campsites to one with power, no charge! The washrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen! The arcade was a nice little afternoon activity. You can't go into the store on site though. It would have been nice to peruse but I understand why. Close enough to town that you can walk places. I appreciate that there was a washing station. Recommended this campsite to friends and they loved it here too”

“I've never felt more at home while away from home. Like a weekend at grandma's house - with turn-down service! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, it was like staying with family - family with very good taste. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean, beautifully finished, and with furniture that made you feel like a treasured guest in its elegance. Both Maureen and George (the proprietors) spent time getting to know us, chatting with us over Maureen's to-order, classic breakfasts each morning - making us feel like we were guests in their house, instead of just paying customers. With a garden that could rival Eden in its beauty, and a care for guests that seems to come as naturally to them as breathing, this is truly a lush oasis in the arid valley of Drumheller.”

“Has all the amenities and is in town. Great location and is quiet. Nice location and connects to the bike and walking trail system. There is a dump station and you can have power and water or full hookups. They have portable fire pits and if you’ve never experienced a portable fire pit well you should. Haha can you spot the deer in the photo? This was taken from our campsite.”

“Wheelchair accessible:D Older but friendly service and location make up for it. Was perfect for us. Lots of very hot water, a microwave and mini fridge, tasty coffee and coffee machine (in each room I believe. ) Great quality bedding and towels with soap and shampoo, bed was fine. Quiet. Highly recommend you try their log cabin style restaurant on site, tasty food and friendly service. Open 9-2pm. A field out back for your kids or dog to run about and a shady picnic table. A gas station at the corner a few meters away provides you convenience items. Try The Sizzling Kitchen nearby for great Chinese. We happily recommend The Badlands Motel.”

“Nice friendly service but the campground itself is a dirt patch with no shade. The original site I booked ended up being flooded when we got there and we got no notification. They replaced our booking with a total dirt patch, and with two toddlers in the hot summer, this proved to be difficult. They knew that the site got flooded after rains but apparently don't want to fix it. Tons of permanent contractors live there, I'm sure it's an easy fix.”

“Amazing campground. I love how it’s surrounded by trees. The facilities such as the shower house are always super clean, and sanitary. I love playing with the tether ball in the playground. Don’t listen to the negative reviews put out there by other people. They are false, and there is another side of the story. The people who write these reviews most likely try to cause a disturbance at the campground. The owners are excellent people, and they have an amazing campground. Will definitely be coming back in the future!”

“10/10. A little hidden gem is close to drumheller but the feeling of true camping. We decided to keep our rv home this time and try one of the yurts. So happy we did. The yurts are so beautifully decorated and the owner went above and beyond to make our stay special with all the little touches from a free bag of fire wood, the welcome basket of s’mores, essentials and more. The pictures of yurts don’t even do it justice. You can see their vision they are working on for this campgrounds with all the personal touches throughout the campgrounds. They even offer paddle boards and canoes. I look forward to coming back again. Thank you for making our stay one to remember.”

“Beautiful spot along the river. Power, free drinking water, free showers, reasonable rates and a super friendly campground host. This campground was easy to get into and out of even with a fifth wheel. If I was in the area, I would definitely stay here again.”
