Friendly staff, welcoming and comforting atmosphere. Food is delicious. My milkshake wasn't quite filled to the top.. but that's okay! It was very yummy.
I had the kids grilled cheese with fries and a dide of gravy. The fries and gravy is really good. I think the grilled cheese would have been better on bread rather than the flattened buns. Milkshakes were pretty good, not that thick though. I had the chocolate banana.
Clean, bright, multiple seating options and a comfortable amount of space. The menu is located at the entrance so you can look at it without having to be in line, I liked that design feature.
I ordered the signature classic burger, fries, and tossed salad. Seemed like a good starting point. The burger patties tasted great, you can tell they are fresh and it makes a huge difference. The bun was okay, didn't seem overly remarkable. Same with the fries. Not outright bad, just bland and unremarkable. Very similar to Boston Pizza fries, actually.
The salad was surprisingly good in terms of value. The tomatoes were cut into large wedges and the onions were just big slices, so maybe a little awkward to eat.
The wait times seemed to be quite long for a burger place. There appeared to be two cooks and two other employees that alternated duties: Taking customer orders, handing out delivery orders, making milkshakes, cleaning tables, and doing dishes.
I would say the kitchen probably needed one additional person during the rush to assist the other two and do the milkshakes. I noticed that almost everyone was ordering milkshakes. So one person was bogged down making them while 5-6 people were waiting to order.
This was our first time at Wayback burgers. We walked in and the place was very clean and tidy, the staff was very friendly and their uniforms also very clean. I was impressed with the cleanliness and crispness of the theme of this restaurant. Ordering was very easy and we had many choices to explore for our meal. We decided to go with the Burger menu, fries and shake. The burgers were good and I was informed that they were out of burger buns so that they exchanged them with their sub buns which were grilled and were quite tasty. The pumpkin caramel shake was very tasty and I would enjoy to have that again. The fries weren't bad but could have been cooked a little bit more crispy as the sauce that is added does make them soggy and when you try to grab the fries they do limp when you pick them up but did taste good. All in all it was a good meal and the staff were very friendly and courteous. They would ask customers how their meal was showing that they cared for their diners. The value for the meal was very reasonable considering the time and service and care for each meal and I would recommend Wayback burgers to other people. I would like to visit Wayback burgers again and at that time update the review to give a more in-depth review to be fair since some items were not in stock and they had to augment which did show that they tried to what they could with the stock they had which is commendable. Good job guys and we look forward to coming back again. I wanted to give four and a half Stars but unfortunately it doesn't allow so was it closer to five star or four star I would have to say four but I believe my next visit it will change.
10/10! We have ordered from here many times and it's safe to say I've tried almost everything. There are some things that I don't love but that's okay! The burgers give me red Robin vibes but way better. I love how you can get a taste burger for under $10. And the patties are thick and the sauce/cheese selection you can easily customize what your pallet is. The milkshakes beat five guys. Overall so pleased with meals from here!
