First of all I have to say the work they did was excellent. But their customer service could use a lot of brushing up. We have 3 properties, and we asked them to come and do an estimate for a very small siding project that needed to be done ASAP, plus an estimate for a big siding project, and 2 new roofs that needed to be done within the next 6-12 months. We got the estimate for one roof and the small siding job right away, and never got an estimate for the big siding job or the other roof. Our priority was the small siding job, so we paid $950 up front, and we were told it should be completed by the end of the month (3 weeks). After 4 weeks, I sent several e-mails, asking when the work would be done, and I was always told "next week", but a week later, the work was still not done. Finally, more than 2 months after the initial estimate, I told them that I needed the work done immediately, or I would need to get my deposit back and hire another company. They came right away to do the work, but they never let me know they were coming, so my tenants were surprised by the construction on their house very early in the morning, waking up their sleeping baby. I got an e-mail right away asking for payment, and I told them I would pay as soon as I got an invoice. The invoice came 21 days later.
I know in construction, things will always take longer than planned, but it would have been appreciated to be kept in the loop about this job, giving me the heads up when delays happen, and maybe a "sorry this took so long". It's unnerving to have given such a large deposit before any work was done.
It's unfortunate that they will be losing 3 big jobs because one small one was mishandled.
