High River Donair and Pizza

I was hoping for better considering the high reviews. My main issue was the donair meat. It was sliced way too thick, was very gummy, and had almost no flavour. Pizza dough had been overworked and was also very gummy. Donair sauce was on point though, no issues there. Some have said this is a Halifax style donair, and it isn’t. I’ll give it another go but I can’t say I’m as enamoured as others seem to be.

From Ottawa - we stopped by on July 16 for a donair. It was GARGANTUAN (we ate the other half for dinner!) Fresh, fragrant and absolutely delicious. Everything clean, service was quick and friendly. Ticked ALL the boxes. Thank you. And you've got a great resident artist - blackboard menu was cool - even took a photo of it :-)

I came from Edmonton and visited this fantastic restaurant with my boyfriend. I was greeted warmly by the people inside and they made sure that we were satisfied with the food. My boyfriend then suggested the chicken shawarma which is one of his favourite and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was really good so was the food! I really hope they open a branch here in Edmonton.

The pizza here is out of this world! I have ordered several times and have never been disappointed. The donairs are one of the best I’ve had. The prices are also very fair for the quality of food you get.

As per my last review, I ordered again and they gave me not only a free pasta, but a free calzone as well! Fantastic service. I applaud their effort to make things right, as well as going above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I will definitely be going back!
