Pulse Boot Lab & Ski Co. Banff

I booked an appointment with Pulse to help me with my ski boots. They have become much colder and less comfortable over the past few years. Jesse at Pulse suggested that all I needed was new liners as my shells were ok. He did a scan of my feet to determine my size and unfortunately he was out of stock but did a search online and found the ones I needed at a competitor’s store in Canmore. Jesse spent the better half of an hour with me and didn’t charge me a dime or try to up sell me a new pair of boots. Unbelievable! I would highly recommend Pulse and Jesse for the professional and caring environment they foster with only their customers satisfaction in mind.

Very knowledgeable staff and excellent boot fitting/adjustment process. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their existing boots to work better or find the perfect fit.

My biggest regret of this season is not discovering Pulse sooner. I've been a snowboarder my entire adult life and recently bought my first pair of ski boots, however my boots immediately started annihilating my ankles. I got assessed at Pulse by Jesse who unfortunately confirmed that my boots are an entire size too big. Jesse spent tons of time with me for free and was an invaluable help on my quest to feel comfortable in ski boots. I recommend anyone and everyone to get their ski boots at Pulse.

Jesse, Dave, and the team at Pulse have been awesome to work with! Although I had some major pain along the way with my problematic feet, they were able to gradually and methodically make adjustments until my boots performed phenomenally and were acceptably comfy at the same time. Despite my many visits and inflexible schedule as an out-of-town customer, they have been super patient and accommodating. I had wandered into their original Revelstoke shop a few years ago and gotten their 3D foot scan/assessment, but am very glad to have pulled the trigger on a boot system at this Banff location!

I read an article in a Blister newsletter that interviewed Kai Palkeinen founder of Pulse Boot Lab. I was impressed with their boot fitting technology and made an appointment at the Banff location. Jesse took an image of my foot and fitted me with the correct size boot based on what I want from a ski boot, performance, warmth, comfort. I had a footbed made and a thinner sock was recommended. Jesse and staff were super helpful and answered all my questions professionally. I have now skied with my new ski boots a few times and I'm impressed with their performance. They are comfortable too. As a 25+ year member of the NSP, I know how important well fitting boots are.
