Beautiful Place, gorgeous water falls, mountains surrounding, amazing place for the whole family. Only 45 min away from Calgary. Had a blast and will definitely go back. Bathrooms were maintained well and clean. Ample parking and great ♿️ parking as well for those who need it.
Good flow this time of year (late June). Nice walkways around the falls to various view points and a few bathrooms. A good 10 min rest break if driving somewhere nearby.
I just love the place. Waterfall and water particles blowing with the wind gives pleasant experience to adore the nature. Water level in the river might be different in different seasons but worth spending time. One of the best places in Canada to visit and admire Nature. You might have to share the area with wildlife ( bear, coyote, deers, bunnies , ducks etc) be ready for that too. Safety is must.
Photography and videography guys bring all your gear. Proper place to have proper view. I recommend not to cross the railing to go near , view will be near and better but chances of slippery are more . Watch for slippery surfaces in different weathers.
Have more nearly spots to visit too. Hiking biking and other activities. Have proper gears and clothing needed
Please explore rest of the surrounding spots too.
You might need full day to explore whole area
Went at the end of May. Easy to fine. Kid friendly, washrooms in the well marked parking lot. Paths leading to the falls are traveled and flat. There are Stairs up to the falls/look out points.Falls were not that impressive during this time (hence 4 stars). Go when the water is high or frozen for the best views. I've been mid summer and winter and the views are breathtaking.
Great experience which can be made into a few hours if you wanted. We only ended up staying for about an hour as the weather was a bit cold, but it was still a lovely trip. The seating area was swept away with the storm, but you can find seats and benches around to stop for a snack
