The Three Hills RCMP Detachment serves a number of rural communities, located in Central Alberta. These communities include, but are not limited to the following - Allingham, Ardley, Content Bridge South, Delburne, Elnora, Equity, Ghost Pine Creek, Huxley, Lousana, Sunnyslope, Three Hills, Trochu and Twining. With such a large area that this particular Detachment serves, it goes without saying that they are understaffed.. It does take them a bit longer to attend some calls, such as a vehicle theft or a break & enter (not in progress), but that is expected. I had to wait a couple hours for them to respond to my concern, but it was completely understandable and I did not in any way hold this against them. If it is an urgent 911 call, they will respond accordingly, and yes it will still take them up to 30min to get to some of the furthest communities, such as Delburne... Not ideal by any means, but when you live in rural Alberta (or rural anywhere), you cant expect an officer to be right around the corner, like you would in a city like Calgary...
