I recently lodged a bylaw complaint on what would be a busy time for the police. It was still dealt with promptly, and they followed up. Great response by the LPS. Glad this community didn’t fall under ‘defund the police’ category, what a dumpster fire of failure that movement has turned out to be.
I think that the City of Lethbridge and the public services from the LPS, have been progressing towards a better handle on the community issues. There are groups of individuals that will challenge these progressive steps and make it appear like there is nothing being done. A court system that gives chances to individuals that have been through the revolving door of the prosecution process. They have responded and the people who care to support make a difference.
Constable Roth followed up with me after I reported someone I believed to potentially be intoxicated while driving. He was professional and friendly. Thank you Constable Roth and Lethbridge Police for keeping the community safe -- your work is so appreciated!
Lethbridge Police Service gets a five star review from this citizen. This city has a rich history in law enforcement which includes the historical Red Coat Trail. 300 brave men led by Sgt. Sam Steel of the newly minted NWMP brought law and order to the Canadian West. LPS continues in this pioneering effort and spirit to make me proud. LPS truly serves the individual and the community it works within. I have always been treated with dignity and respect. Often I am in distress and at the end of my rope when I need them the most. I never felt shamed but rather supported in that time of need. LPS members continully are building bridges and trust in The City of Lethbridge. I thank you so very much for your service.
